The first leaked photos of the Lenovo S920 smartphone appeared online just a few weeks ago and today the company made the phone. The handset can be found at Lenovo China’s webstore but as of now it is not available for purchase yet. It will go on sale in a little more than two weeks on Monday, April 8. The Lenovo S920 will be priced at CNY 2,199 off contract, which is around $350.
Lenovo S920 Android Smartphone – Overview
The Lenovo S920 can be classified as a mid-range device but has a few quite strong selling points worth your attention. First of all, at just 0.31 inch (7.9 mm) thick it is one of the thinnest phones on the market. While the thickness is not the most important feature in a smartphone, to some users it sure is appealing.
If you are a fan of big-screened devices, you will like the S920 because it features a 5.3-inch display, although the resolution is only 1280 x 720 pixels. Another plus for the handset is for running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It looks like the S920 is Lenovo’s first phone to ship with the latest version of the OS.
The rest of the specs and features are not so exciting, but they are not that bad either so you probably should not complain too much. Both cameras, the 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front, are above average and the 2,250 mAh battery will probably get the job done. The S920 is powered by MediaTek’s 1.2 GHz quad-core MT6589 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and comes with microSD slot for storage expansion, but the exact amount of on-board memory was not revealed yet.
