Lenovo K920Lenovo is seriously taking into the whole smartphone business. Known mostly for making PCs and laptops, the Chinese company is not very popular outside of Asia, at least when it comes to phones; however, it looks like it’s about ready to take other continents by storm. The manufacturer has released a few impressive handsets so far and now is back with a brand new offering. At the ongoing Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai Lenovo has introduced a new 6-inch handsome phablet – the Lenovo K920 with a gorgeous Quad HD screen, also known as  Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro.

It’s not the first time that we hear about Lenovo’s upcoming beast of a smartphone. The device leaked out last month giving us pretty detailed insight into hardware specification. Back then, the phone was known as Vibe Z2 Pro; now Lenovo keeps referring to the device as K920. At the moment it’s unclear how the phone will be called when it reaches the stores, but whatever the official name, the handset is sure to catch your eye and not only because it is big.

We have seen our share of oversized smartphones and truth be told, large dimensions not always go together with outstanding performance. This is not the case with the Vibe Z2 Pro, though. Starting from the outside, the phablet will please your eye and hand with simple yet stylish design and sturdy construction. Instead of cheap plastic, the Vibe Z2 Pro is wrapped in aluminum brushed metal case. With a 7.7-mm profile the device is thin and slim bezels help keep the size in check. Having a 6-inch display, the phone is not exactly compact, but the virtually bezel-less design is a big plus.

Speaking of the display, it offers impressive QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution bringing pixel density to 490 ppi. Inside the massive body sits a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Other features include a 16-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, 5-megapixel user-facing camera, dual-SIM support, LTE, NFC and Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo’s skin on top.

It’s not clear whether the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro will ever make it to the US, and if it will how much it will cost. One thing is sure, though – the device will be a real find for big phone enthusiasts.
