Rumors about the upcoming LG Optimus G2 are increasing in intensity, which may mean that things are moving along and it may not be long before we hear official word about the phone. A fresh set of speculations as well as a leaked photo may give us a better idea of what to expect. If true, the claims will support the theory that the LG Optimus G2 might come with unprecedented innovations.
LG Optimus G2 with no keys on front or sides
The phone is believed to feature no keys on either front or sides. All the Android navigation buttons will be located on the back at the “movable bottom of the camera”. We must admit that the phrase sounds intriguing and we have genuinely no idea what it means.
The volume keys will be placed around the camera and they will also serve as zoom buttons. The power key seems to be located between these keys. Moving all the keys to the back apparently allowed to fit bigger screen in a smaller body, so the Optimus G2 is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display with 920 x 1080 at 423 ppi.
The phone will allegedly pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM with 3 GB rumored for the LTE-A version on SK Telecom. The device will supposedly be equipped with a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization technology seen in the latest Nokia, HTC and Samsung flagship phones.
The Optimus G2 may also include fingerprint recognition technology. If so, it will be the first smartphone to offer such a feature.
