LG’s F-series was shown three months ago at World Mobile Congress in Barcelona. Touted as designed for budget conscious customers, the new lineup consists of three smartphones. Two of them, the LG Optimus F5 and the LG Optimus F7 were already presented to the public. The third member of the F series, the LG Optimus F3 still awaits official introduction. Recently we have seen signs that the phone could be available soon and, as promised, should be easy on your wallet.
LG Optimus F3 LS720 for Sprint
Yesterday the LG Optimus F3 (model number LS720) became a little less mysterious. Thanks to some photos leaked by our reliable @evleaks we can take a peek at the phone’s design, and more importantly – its destination. It appears that the device will be headed to Sprint. While this news is far from being official, @evleaks has a track record of being unusually accurate. Let’s not forget that it was the same source that leaked photos of the F5 and F7 a few days before their announcement.
As for the Optimus L3 itself, the handset sports a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Under the hood, the phone has a dual-core processor. Power is delivered by a 2,600 mAh battery, which is a pretty hefty offering for a smartphone of such league. Other features include A-GPS navigation support and microUSB 2.0 port. The LG Optimus F3 will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice.
