You might have already noticed that usually Sony is in no hurry to launch its device in the US. Remember how long it took for the Sony Xperia Z to show up on this side of the Atlantic? We had to wait six long months. Moreover, of all the US carriers, only T-Mobile is offering the phone. But guess what? It appears that the next flagship smartphone from Sony, the Xperia Z1, will arrive in a much shorter period of time than other phones in the past. Or at least this is what we are led to believe by the latest news from @evleaks.
Sony Xperia Z1 for T-Mobile
The famous tipster posted on Twitter a photo of the Xperia Z1 with T-Mobile branding below the screen. While the twit itself does not mention any particular date or even more general time frame, but does rise hope for imminent release on the Magenta carrier. Pricing also is yet to be revealed, but being rich in top-notch specs, the phone is sure to land on the more expensive side.
The Sony Xperia Z1 is a successor to the Xperia Z and it was announced a little over a month ago at IFA in Berlin. Design-wise, the Xperia Z1 resembles its older brother. The phone is extra resistant to the elements. For example you can submerge it in water to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes and still it will be as good as new.
The first thing you see when you look at the Sony Xperia Z1 is its 5-inch Full HD Triluminous display. Inside you will find a quad-core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM together with 16 GB of storage. True highlight, however, is the device’s camera with a 20.7-megapixel sensor, wide angle lens and new camera software. The Xperia Z1 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
