Kyocera Hydro Elite for Verizon Wireless is now for sale at carrier’s store

Even though the Hydro Elite is a tad more modest in terms of hardware and software than Motorola’s offering, it is a solid device which might be especially valued by active users. The Kyocera Hydro Elite is also cheaper than the Moto X. The phone is for sale for just $99.99 with a two-year service agreement, naturally. Off contract price is set to $349.99.

Kyocera Hydro Elite for VerizonThe Kyocera Hydro Elite for Verizon is a heavy-duty device which provides durability comparable to a rugged phone but with a typical smartphone design. The handset is waterproof and not only will it survive an accidental splash on the screen, but will not sustain any damage when submerged in up to 3.28 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. The device features Smart Sonic Receiver technology, thanks to which you will be able to hear clearly your caller even in a noisy environment.

The Kyocera Hydra Elite sports a 4.3-inch display with 1280 x 720 resolution and super thin bezels. Under the hood, the phone has a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and paired with 1.5 GB of RAM. The handset offers 16 GB of expandable storage, wireless charging and a and a 2,100 mAh battery.

The device is also equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter. Other features include 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi with hotspot capability, Starter Mode and Eco Mode. The Kyocera Hydra Elite runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
