Kyocera DuraPro for US Cellular – Overview
The rugged Kyocera DuraPro for US Cellular adheres to the Military Spec 810G which means that it is water, shock, dust, and vibration resistant. It can withstand immersion in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes without any damage whatsoever. Also temperature extremes, blowing rain, low pressure, solar radiation, salt fog, and humidity are not a problem. For further protection, the DuraPro is encased in non-slip Dura-Grip material which is very comfortable and easy to hold and prevents accidental slips.
The phone comes with 3.2 megapixel camera with camcorder, and 512 MB of on-board memory, expandable to 32GB with optional microSD card. The DuraPro also has a programmable hot key on the side that can be assigned to any app you want, and large keys with backlight with large font option for menus making it a perfect device for visually impaired users.
Other features of the Kyocera DuraPro include stereo Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, IT and parental controls for calling, texting, web, and camera/camcorder, multiple language support, speaker-independent, voice-activated dialing and autonomous GPS.
