Holidays are in a little over a week, so hopefully all gifts are wrapped and ready to put under the tree. No? If you haven’t had time or opportunity to do so yet, there’s no need to worry. Actually, it might be for the better, especially if you or your loved ones are in the market for a premium smartphone and don’t mind sticking with Verizon for a while. Black Friday deals are long forgotten but it’s not too late to get a free iPhone 7 or Galaxy S7 straight from the Big Red carrier.
Verizon is bringing back one of its best deals which allows customers to get the iPhone 7, Galaxy S7 and other cool phones for free. There are a few conditions, though.
In addition to the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7, there are a few other handsets that you can have at no cost, namely, the iPhone 7 Plus, Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Droid Force, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and LG V20. Of course, it’s not like Verizon is going to hand a free high-end device to anyone who walks in the store. As usually in such cases, the carrier will ask for something in return starting with your old phone.
If you opt for a free iPhone 7, Pixel, Moto Z Droid or Galaxy S7, you will need to trade in the iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6S or 6S Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ or Note 5, LG G5 or V10, Motorola Turbo 2 or HTC 10. If, however, you lean more towards the larger and even more premium iPhone 7 Plus, Pixel XL, Moto Z Force Droid, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, or LG V20, the only models that can get you one for free are the iPhone 7 Plus and Galaxy S7 Edge. Naturally, the phone you are trading in must be in good, working and cosmetic condition.
Moreover, you will have to purchase the handset on a device payment plan and then Verizon will issue monthly bill credits which will add up to the cost of the phone, thus making it free. The credits will begin arriving within 2-3 billing cycles. Keep in mind, though, that if you decide to part ways with Verizon before your phone is fully paid off, the remaining balance comes due.
What if you don’t have a device eligible for the trade in? Verizon has a pretty sweet deal for you too – you will be able to grab the iPhone 7, Google Pixel or Moto Droid Z for just $10 per month.
Verizon clearly states that it’s limited time offer, however, doesn’t give any expiration date. That said, if you want to take advantage of the deal, it might be a good idea to do it rather sooner than later.
