A coupe days ago we shared with you that the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C were scheduled for launch on Virgin Mobile prepaid network on October 1st. As planned, both devices are now available for purchase from the carrier. As expected, the Apple iPhone 5S is priced the same level as Apple’s previous flagship smartphone. The price of the handset starts at $549.99 for the 16 GB model and goes up to $649.99 and $749.99 for the 32 GB and 64 GB variants, respectively. Note that the last two models are available only via Virgin Mobile’s online store.

Unsurprisingly, the colorful Apple iPhone 5C, often referred to as “budget” iPhone, is cheaper than the 5S and costs $449.99 and $549.99 for the 16 GB and 32 GB model. The latter is up for grabs from the carrier’s online store only. Both new iPhones can be paired with one of Virgin’s unlimited plans that start at a low $35 per month. Being a pre-paid carrier, Virgin Mobile does not require any contract, thus selling phones at unsubsidized prices.
As you probably know, the iPhone 5S and 5C are Apple’s latest smartphones. The 5S packs a TouchID sensor built into home button which allows your scanned fingerprint to be used to unlock the phone or make purchases from iTunes or Apple Store. The device is powered by a new A7 chip with 64-bit architecture and M7 coprocessor. Other key features include new iSight camera, superfast LTE connectivity, and iOS 7.
As of the iPhone 5C, the device is basically a refreshed version of the iPhone 5. Made of polycarbonate material, the phone sports a 4-inch display, A6 chip, 1 GB of RAM and an iSight camera. The phone runs the latest iOS 7 out of the box.
