The gold color option offered by Apple with its new iPhone 5s certainly catches the eyes, but can you imagine the phone coated in actual gold? London-based Goldgenie had that idea and is offering the iPhone 5s in gold, rose gold and platinum. The device indeed does look stunning but paying for it would take a lot of courage. The cheapest model costs £1,780, which is an equivalent of $2,850. If you want more luxury and storage, the price will go up to a whopping $4,400.
Luxury iPhone 5s with Swarovski crystals
Just for the record, Goldgenie does not offer a simple gold and platinum coating on the iPhone 5s. You can choose from as many as five different styles including Swarovski embellishment. The whole back plate and sides are coated in 24 CT gold, rose gold or platinum and you also can add Swarovski crystals to the sides, bezels and Apple logo on the back. The final product looks like gadget from a fairy tale.
In case you were wondering, those premium materials are used only for the exterior. Inside you will find exactly the same components as in the iPhone 5s coming from the Apple store. The phone is powered by the new A7 64-bit chip, which is much faster than the previous processor. The device packs M7 motion coprocessor, enhanced 8 Megapixel iSight camera with a True Tone flash, and 1080p HD video with slow-motion video and improved video stabilization. The iPhone 5s is equipped with Touch ID Fingerprint sensor and runs Apple’s latest operating system iOS 7.
