HTC Desire 610 successor may be announced soon as images and specs of the Desire 620 leaked out

ByinLeaks & Rumors | December 5, 2014

Desire 620Not so long ago HTC launched the Desire 610 in the US, and just right now a new handset is rumored to join the Desire family pretty soon. We’re talking about the Desire 620 whose pics and specs have just surfaced online. According to the recent leak the phone seems to carry many well-know features found in its older brother – the HTC One E8. Let’s take a closer look at the Desire 610’s successor and check the rumor’s reliability.

HTC Desire 620 pictures and details surface online

HTC Desire 620If the leak is accurate, the HTC Desire 620 appears to continue the Desire pattern we’ve known from the previous models, which translates to good-looking, but plastic clad design and mid-range hardware. The phone is reported to sport a 5-inch 720p screen and a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and combined with 1GB RAM. Frankly speaking, we’re looking at a decent device, but definitely not a premium player like the HTC One M8.

Going deeper into the specs sheet, the slate is rumored to house an 8-megapixel main camera accompanied by a 5-megapixel front-facing unit and 8GB built-in storage that can be easily expanded via MicroSD cards. Additionally, there will be also a removable 2,100 mAh battery on the Desire 620’s board that will power the device for at least a day, and the a high-quality music experience will be provided by the dual front-facing speakers tech that is reported to be able to fill a small room with audible sound. In the field of software, we may expect Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC-made Sense 6 UI on the top of it.

The type of the phone’s processor is still unconfirmed, but it is speculated to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 coupled with the Adreno 306. If the speculations turn out to be true, it will mean that the Desire 620 will be a 64-bit handset.

All these clearly shows that the HTC Desire 620 will be a slightly more advanced that its predecessor, which is equipped with a smaller and worse 4.7-inch screen, older version of Adreno 305 and only 1.3-megapixel front camera. Though the specs differences are of minor character, they will probably make a big difference in terms of the slate’s performance.

HTC hasn’t officially announced the release date of the Desire 620. But, since there’s less than a month left to the end of the 2014, it is more than certain that the handset will debut in the first quarter of 2015, perhaps during the CES in January?
