That Nokia was working on phablet-like device we already new. The first photo of a component of the Nokia Lumia 1520, codenamed Bandit, leaked back in July. Since then we were graced with a photo of the actual phone. As a natural course of things, leaks and rumors are now bound to increase in intensity as the work progresses. Today is the day for a press image of the Lumia 1520. The image comes via no other than our dear @evleaks, and since the tipster is rarely wrong, we have little reason to question the photos legibility.
Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows 8 Phone
The phone looks similar to other members of the Lumia family. In the image, the device is dressed in bright yellow, though it is highly probable that it will also be available in a multitude of other equally vivid colors. Featuring a 6-inch 1080p display, the Lumia 1520 is Nokia’s first phablet. The device naturally runs Windows Phone 8 and will ship with the latest GDR3 update. We can tell that from the additional column of Live Tiles on the Start Screen.
The back of the phone takes after the Lumia 925 with its subtle hump where the camera is. It looks like there will be no 41-megapixel sensor, but rather a 20-megapixel one. Other rumors feature includes a quad-core Snapdragon processor. According to the sources, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is currently being tested by AT&T and will make it to the stores in the US some time later this year.
