We have already seen quite a few smartwatches in the market, some of them more or less successful, but as the Italian company I’m S.p.A. claims, their latest product – I’m Watch, is the first one to truly deserve this name. The model from the color collection is currently on sale for just $349, which means $100 in savings, since the regular price is $449.
i’m Watch – the world’s first real smartwatch
The deal on i’m Watch expires on March 15. If you want something more original and have more money to spare you can choose a watch from the tech collection available in titanium or black titanium starting at $1,049. Or you can go extravagant and get one from the jewel collection priced at $1,999 and higher.
The I’m Watch by I’m S.p.A. measures 0.59 inches thick by 1.46 inches tall by 1.46 inches wide and packs an integrated rechargeable battery that promises between 48 and 72 hours of standby time. Talk time naturally depends on the usage. The watch can operate on a mobile network without a smartphone thanks to integrated GSM connectivity. The device runs Android 2.1 and comes preloaded with apps for daily appointments, weather, Facebook, Twitter and more.
Using Bluetooth connectivity you can see calls, text messages, e-mails, and other notifications directly on the watch face. You can also answer or decline calls right from the face of the watch or use it as a speakerphone thanks to a built-in speaker. The watch has built-in GPS, sensors for monitoring heart rate and digital compass and is compatible with I’mCloud service for managing your smartwatch apps and data via the Internet.
Well, what do you think. Is anyone interested in getting yourself a smartwatch for $349?
