Acer Iconia Tab 7Today Acer made official two members of its 2014 tablet collection, the Iconia One 7 and Iconia Tab 7. Both tablets are made with budget-conscious customers in mind, thus will be affordable offerings. Acer Iconia One 7 vs. Iconia Tab 7

Acer Iconia One 7Both, the Acer Iconia One 7 and Acer Iconia Tab 7 are pretty unassuming Android tablets offering exactly what any average user would expect at given price. The Acer Iconia One 7, as its name suggests, sports a 7-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display with 16:10 ratio which Acer says is “ideal format for video.” The device is powered by a dual-core processor of unknown brand and speed st this moment and is equipped with rear and front cameras.

Other features include dual speakers, microSD slot for storage expansion and a battery that can last up to seven hours on one charge. At 0.35-inch (8.9 mm) of thickness, the Acer Iconia One 7 is quite slim offering and will be available in a variety of colors including red, white, black, blue, pink and more.

The Acer Iconia Tab 7 is very similar to the Iconia One 7 in terms of specs and even the size. The fundamental difference between these two is that the Tab 7 comes with 3G connectivity and can double as a phone. Whether the device size is compact enough to hold up to your ear to hav a chat is another question, but the fact remains that you can put a SIM card inside and turn the tablet into phablet to make and receive phone calls.

Like the Iconia One 7, the Iconia Tab 7 is also a 7-inch tablet with IPS 1280 x 800 display, two cameras and a microSD slot and a battery good for up to six hours of usage time. The Iconia Tab 7 will be available in anodized silver shell.

Both tablets will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, however, the slightly outdated version of the operating system can be upgraded to the most recent Android 4.4 KitKat iteration.
