Ladies and gentlemen, meet world’s thinnest smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P6. Leaked numerous times before, the handset was officially announced by Huawei today in London. When will we see the Ascend P6 in stores? The phone is scheduled to go on sale in its home market in China later this month. Customers in Europe will have to wait until July to get their hands on the phone’s incredibly slim body.

The handset packs a 4.7-inch LCD touch screen with HD resolution, which was made with he so-called MagicTouch technology. This innovative feature makes the display responsive even to gloved hands. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core K3V2 processor. The chip, made by Huawei itself, is based on ARM Cortex-A9 architecture.
The handset offers 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. There is also a microSD slot for further storage expansion up to 32 GB. The Ascend P6 is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and macro mode, as well as a 5-megapixel user-facing sensor. The phone has a 2,000 mAh batter, which thanks to power saving mode, is capable of providing up to 30% longer usage time.
