As we get closer to Consumer Electronics Show, it is quite natural that press renders begin to pop up more frequently. This time, new leaks show off three smartphones that Huawei will present during the event. While all of the look interesting, the one that is getting most of the attention is the huge Ascend Mate – the biggest phone coming to market.
Being only a tad smaller than a tablet, the Huawei Ascend Mate will be the largest device capable of being held up to the face for a phone call. Some disturbing news from a few days ago suggested that the phablet’s 6.1-inch screen might come with 720p resolution, which, if turned out to be true, would result in far less than impressive pixel density, but the most recent info says about 1080p, so let’s stick with this one. Other specs include a 1.8 GHz HiSilicon K3V3 quad-core processor, an impressive 4,000 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, and a 13 megapixel rear camera.
The second handset on the list for CES is the Ascend D2 (pictured on the right), which will offer 5-inch screen also with 1080p resolution, a 13 megapixel rear camera, and a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and will come with Android 4.1 installed out of the box. The last, but not the least, is the Ascend W1, Huawei’s first Windows 8 phone, featuring a 4-inch display, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, and a 2000 mAh battery.
