Leaks and rumors about the Huawei Ascend W2 have been making rounds since April, and now, courtesy of @evleaks, we have a nice render to go with the specs. That is assuming that the photo portrays the same device that was mentioned in previous rumors as the Ascend W2.
Huawei Ascend W2 Windows Phone 8
If the information turns out to be true, the upcoming Huawei Ascend W2 will be the thinnest Windows Phone released on market at just 0.30 inch (7.7 mm). The Ascend W2 is believed to feature a 4.3-inch 720p HD IPS touch screen, though some sources hint at a 4.5-inch display. Regardless of its size, the screen is said to be operable with gloved hands. The phone will possible be driven by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 paired with 1 GB of RAM.
The device will supposedly be equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording. In terms of connectivity the phone will offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and HSPA+ support. Power will be delivered by a 2,000 mAh battery. The Huawei Ascend W2 is expected to cost 3200 Yuan, which is about $515. Some sources however, report that the phone may cost no more than 1770 Yuan, or $290.
