The very first uncovered pics of the intensively rumored Huawei’s Ascend Mate 7 have just popped on the net. Unlikely the previous leaked during the TENAA certification process photos presenting the handset in ugly plastic case, those pics showcase the new Ascend Mate 7 in its whole beauty including biometric security and super-slim side bezels. With Huawei having already sent the invitation to their press event, we may safely assume that the phablet will debut at pre-IFA trade show days on September 4th.
6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Phablet
Although the Ascend Mate 7 has been discussed at numerous occasions, only now, thanks to pics leaked on he Chinese social network Weibo, we got the chance to see the device from all perspectives without the previously mentioned plastic cover. The new photos give as a proper look at what the manufacturer is cooking up for its upcoming Ascend Mate 7.
The first thing that leaps out at us when watching the pics is the body to display ratio. Since microphone and headphone has to be located somewhere the phablet’s bottom and top bezels are quite normal. But, the sides of the display are the element that draws our attention, the device, just as rumored, has almost invisible, very thin side bezels. Though we still don’t know how much exactly measure the thin silver bezels, they are definitely the slimmest we’ve ever met.
Another thing that captures our attention is the metal back side of the Ascend Mate 7 housing an intriguing fingerprint scanner and 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Since the whole back side of the device looks like the one of the HTC’s Max One (which isn’t bad, since the Max One is a real good-looker), it beg for question about the sensor’s ergonomics and usefulness.
Apart from that, the phablet reportedly features a 6.1-inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1080p and runs 1.3GHz octa-core Kirin 920 processor. The rear main camera is said to be accompanied by the selfie-focused 5-megapixel front shooter. Sadly, it is pretty everything we know about the Ascend Mate 7 tech spec, the RAM and built-in storage parameters are still of unknown character. However, there are some voices speculating that the device will be equipped with 2 or 3GB RAM. Summing up, thanks to its good specs and refined design, the Ascend Mate 7 locates in the high end rather than mid-range sector, and has a great chance to become one of the most successful flagships.
In addition, if all this isn’t still enough, the Huawei lately announced that they’re going to launch a special edition of their upcoming flagship, the Huawei Ascend P7 which is said to have its screen covered with innovative and recently very popular, extremely durable Sapphire Glass, which would make it a strong competitor for the rumored to have a scratchproof sapphire display iPhone 6.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is making its official entrance during IFA even in Berlin on September 4th, and this is probably when we will be able to learn more about its specs, launching date, availability and pricing. Be sure that we will keep you posted about all details concerning the phablet the moment they appear on the Internet.
