The next HTC flagship smartphone known as the HTC One+, One 2 or M8 is not official yet, however, the rumored specs picture the phone quite promising. Today we are not going to discuss the regular M8, though. This time round we have some news for those who prefer more compact smartphones. Yes, the next HTC flagship phone will have a mini version and @evleaks has provided us with its hardware and key specs.
HTC M8 Mini, aka One+ Mini – What to expect
From what we can see, the HTC M8 Mini won’t be much of an upgrade compared to the current HTC One Mini model. Unfortunately, it appears that HTC didn’t follow in Sony’s footsteps and in opposite to Xperia Z1 Compact won’t be offering high-end hardware in a smaller form. Instead, it seems that the HTC M8 Mini will be much more modest than regular size HTC M8.
The most disappointing detail is obviously the Snapdragon 400 processor, though this time it will have four cores running at 1.4 GHz. The screen will measure 4.5 inches diagonally, which is a tad bigger than the original HTC One Mini; however, it will keep the same 720p resolution.
Rumor on the street points the HTC M8 Mini with RAM at 1 GB and internal memory at 16 GB, which is not much, especially since you consider that all the downloaded content is stored in the phones these days. There is no need to worry, however, since the handset appears to a microSD slot for memory expansion. The HTC M8 Mini is also said to feature Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0, along with virtual buttons instead of dedicated hardware keys. We are led to believe that the phone will run Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.0.
