The HTC One will soon have another sibling, right next to its smaller brother the HTC One Mini. The new addition to the One family will be a phablet called the HTC One Max. Rumors about the phone have been popping up on and off since August. Today we want to share with you a fresh set of photos of the phone along with several seemingly confirmed details. The images showed up on Chinese social network Weibo and present a white model of the handset.
Rumored HTC One Max to come with 5.9″ display
Apparently, the phone’s model number is HTC 8088, which seems logical since other variants of the HTC One are also known as 801C, 801N or 801S. The photos confirm that the HTC One Max will come with a fingerprint sensor on the back. According to the leaks, the handset features a 5.9-inch display with 1980 x 1080 resolution and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The processor appears to be clocked at 1.7 GHz, however, there are some doubts as to the exact type. Previous rumors suggested a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip, but now a Snapdragon S4 Pro or a Snapdragon 600 seem more probable.
It looks like the HTC One Max device is LTE-capable and sports a 3,300 mAh battery, a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone comes with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and a for storage expansion. The leaked offers dual-SIM, but this feature along with microSD slot will most likely disappear from the international version. The HTC One Max is rumored to be priced at around $800 and might be released some time in October.
