Scheduled to debut on March 1st, the HTC One M9 or so-called the HTC Hima live photos have just leaked online before its official announcement. Although the rumored materials present a handset visually almost identical to the HTC One M8, it doesn’t mean that the M9 is a carbon copy of its predecessor. The smartphone comes with several changes concerning the device’s body design, including narrower bezels a new main camera sensor featuring a square form factor. What’s more published today the photos are just an introduction to the flood of Hima’s pics expected to surface in the coming days.

The mentioned rear camera, which is probably the HTC One M9 best selling point, is said to provide its future users with the high-quality photo experience delivered by a 20.7-megapixel shooter. Moreover, the unit comes equipped with a dual-LED flash located on the left side of the phone’s back cover.
Since the top part of the phone has been cut off in the discussed photos, we cannot clearly state whether the slate come with two cameras allowing for Lytro-style refocusing effect. As for the front-facing camera, if to believe the rumored pics, the 13-megapixel UltraPixel unit won’t sport an additional front flash known from the Desire Eye.
Moving on to the specs sheet, the M9 is said to go on sale powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset with Adreno 430 GPU responsible for graphics coupled with a 3GB RAM. Running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC own Sense 7.0 UI installed on the top of it, the phone will house a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution, which may be a bit disappointing since most of this year’s flagship are said to join the QHD club.
According to the leak, there will be also powerful Boom Sound Dolby 5.1 speakers set at the top and bottom of the screen which are said to take care of high quality sound experience.
With its official premiere taking place at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, the HTC One M9 aka Hima is allegedly reported to go on sale dressed in gray, silver and gold. But remember that since everything we said today is nothing more but a speculation, until the HTC One M9’s great unveiling pretty much every aspect of the discussed today device may be subject to change. So, take all the rumors concerning the HTC next flagship with a pinch of salt.
