Not so long ago, just last Wednesday, HTC announced an update version of its flagship HTC One – the HTC Desire Eye, and just right now the One M8 Eye has been quietly launched to the market. Many of us got a bit excited about the identical 13-megapixel rear and front-facing camera sensors. But, then all of a sudden, our dreams of having a perfect selfie-centric smartphone where shattered with the information that the handset is available exclusively in China with launch plans including expansion to India. No details concerning its US premiere has been given yet.
HTC One M8 Eye features the latest HTC’s Eye Experience software
The revolutionary 13-megapixel front facing camera with the already known second depth sensor replaces the 4 UltraPixel shooter found in the original HTC One M8. Thought the standard model of the One M8 has been considered a superb phone its rear camera sensor was considered being the poor quality one due to its low resolution. So, HTC appears to be a company they listen to what their customers have to say about their products and put a lot of effort to adapt the HTC One M8 Eye to the future buyer’s tastes and needs.
In addition, the phone goes with the new HTC Eye Experience software out of box, which is known from the recently discussed Desire Eye. What’s even more interesting the manufacturer promises to make the software available for the standard One M8. There will be also BoomSound system guarantying pretty good music experience.
As it comes to design, thanks to its metallic body the HTC One M8 Eye strongly resembles the original version of the One M8, though without the latter’s water-proof certification tag.
The HTC’s Eye will be exclusively available in China with its pricing shaping round ¥3,999 without contract, which is an equivalent of $652. Later the device is scheduled to hit India market. Sadly, the manufacturer made no official announcement concerning the phone’s global premiere, we still believe it to go on sale in the US. Apart of that the new One M8 Eye’s camera is reported to be definitely one of the biggest one, it is also said to feature a 3D stereo which is scoping imaging which means that the phone is pretty strong rival for being the HTC’s next flagship.
