Just out of the blue, HTC quietly unveiled today its latest phablet, the HTC One E9+. The phone popped up on the company’s Chinese website with its official list of specs and features. There is no big surprises here whatsoever since the device sports pretty much the same parameters we saw earlier on the certification database with few minor differences. The One E9+ appears to speak the fusion of the HTC One unique design and more cheaper Desire lineup build. The handset sports great number of premium specs, including the HTC’s so far sharpest QHD 5.5-inch display, which surely is one of the biggest selling points of the phone.

The massive 5.5-inch screen comes with Quad-HD resolution that translates to high pixel density of 534 ppi. This is surely a great change in the company’s approach to screen design since so far HTC has been faithful to 1080p panels for their global flagships. Combination of such parameters should definitely provide the handset’s users with sharp and very vivid viewing experience. What’s more watching movies will be additionally enhanced by BoomSound front-facing speakers.
Next up, the HTC One E+ will be powered by a 64-bit 2GHz octa-cote MediaTek MT6795M chipset, which just like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 houses four Cortex-A57 cores and Cortex-A53s cores. When it comes to RAM and ROM parameters, the One E9+ will arrive with 3GB RAM and 16GB of native storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD cards. Such powerful processing parameters should deliver perfect environment for Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI, which will guarantee high-quality work and entertainment experience.
On the optics side, the One E9+ offers a 20-megapixel main camera with the HTC’s Ultrapixel technology. Other features include 2,800 mAh battery, dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi and ultra-fast 4G LTE connectivity. Oddly enough, the detailed specs published on the manufacturer’s website mention a regular 1080p screen, 2GB RAM and a bit lower 13-megapixel rear shooter, which is a bit confusing. But we may safely assume that they’re most likely to refer to the lesser One E9.
Looking exactly like a twin brother of the HTC One M9, the One E9+ measures only 7.49 mm in profile and its body is made out of mainstream plastic which is a way cheaper material than a high-end aluminum body case. The phone will debut dressed in Meteor Grey, Classic Rose Gold and Gold Sepia color options. So far there’s no word on the handset’s pricing nor even its official premiere date out of the China.
