Earlier today HTC started to send out invitations to its special press conference devoted to the premiere of its next flagship smartphone. According to the invite, the HTC U will be introduced in on May 16th. Preparing for the big unveiling, the Taiwanese mobile maker decided to make extra room for the upcoming new model and launched several hefty discounts on its older handsets that may draw your attention.
In order to make some room for upcoming HTC U inventory, HTC kicks off a Spring Sale discounting some of its best phones released in 2016 and 2017.
The invitation takes the form of a five-second teaser video along entitled: ‘Squeeze for the Brilliant U’. Such a tagline looks like a clear confirmation of the rumors suggesting that the HTC flagship for 2017 will come with innovative Edge Sense technology allowing its users to control the device with gestures performed on its metal frame.
Except for the Edge Sense tech the HTC U is speculated to be powered by the Qualcomm’s so far fastest Snapdragon 835 and work on Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense 0 installed on the top. Furthermore, this 5.5-inch phablet will most probably deliver Quad HD viewing experience and be available in two storage options: 64GB and 128GB. As for optics, they will be represented by a combination of a 12MP primary snapper and a pretty stunning 16GB front shooter in charge of selfies.

Kept alive by a 3,000 mAh battery the phone offers a 12MP Ultrapixel camera and a microSD card slot. Closed in the so-called liquid glass body shell the phone features two storage variants. You can choose between 64GB and 128GB versions.

The Sprint-dedicated Bold is sold for $450 instead of $600. Moreover, released in late 2015 One A9 right now costs $199 that is $300 off, whereas JBL’s Reflect Aware C USB-C earbuds are discounted by half. This means that you can grab them for just $99.99.
