It is quite possible that the HTC One X will have its successor in February 2013. Codenamed M7, the new HTC flagship smartphone is supposed to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, but the rumors have already started circulating. The HTC M7 will probably be headed to Verizon and Sprint and possibly two more carriers.
What do we know about HTC M7
According to the latest news, the HTC M7 will feature a 4.7-inch touch screen with a 1980 x 1080 resolution, which would work out to breathtaking 468 ppi. If it turned out to be true, the pixel density would be 40% higher than the Retina display of the iPhone 5. The display is said to be a SoLux display and should offer wider viewing angles, and improved outdoor visibility and color accuracy compared to the previous generation Super LCD 2.
The handset will possibly be powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and will come with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. The device will be LTE capable and is expected to ship running Android Jelly Bean with HTC’s Sense 5.
The HTC M7 may sport a 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 lens and CineSensor to increase image quality and improve super slow-motion and video HDR. The front-facing camera is rumored at 2 MP. In terms of sound, the handset is said to offer a dedicated, Beats-designed amplifier, and Clear Words – a feature designed to increase call clarity. The M7 will also boast the next-generation Wi-Fi standard, 802.11ac, and a 2300 mAh battery.
