News about two possible additions to the HTC Desire series surfaced a few weeks ago and today we can not only confirm the existence of such devices but even see how the handsets look. We were also granted a handful of details about their specs and features. The HTC Desire P and Desire Q will be available soon in China and Taiwan, although exact launch dates are not known at this point yet. Both smartphones, the Desire P and Desire Q should fit well in the budget-friendly category, reportedly costing $365 and $235 respectively with no carrier obligations.
HTC Desire P vs. Desire Q – Overview
Bigger of the two, the HTC Desire P, bearing the model number T326h, resembles the Desire SV, which was announced last year. The Desire P sports a 4.3-inch display with WVGA resolution and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The phone is equipped with an 8 megapixel main camera as well as a secondary camera for video chatting purposes.
The built-in storage capacity was not revealed but we know that the handset comes with microSD slot for memory expansion. Being a HTC device, the phone also offers Beats Audio technology. It will be available in red and white via China Mobile.
As for the HTC Desire Q, there are not many details known about this phone so far, apart from the fact that it features a 4-inch touch screen and Beats Audio technology. Other specs are supposedly the same as the Desire P. The phone will be available in black, white and red and will hit the markets in Taiwan first. Both devices hopefully run Jelly Bean iteration of Android OS.
