HTC Desire Eye appears in photos with 13MP camera with dual LED flash on the back and the front of the phone
The reported earlier HTC One M8 won’t be the only HTC Eye joining its lineup. The latest portion of pics presents the recently leaked HTC Desire Eye in its whole beauty. The phone is said to sport a high-quality 13MP main camera sensor paired with dual LED flash, but the most interesting thing in this smartphone is the fact that its front-facing shooter will be a twin brother of the one located on the phone’s back, carrying exactly the same parameters.
HTC Desire Eye could be announced on October 8th during the HTC’s press event in New York
According to the leak, the HTC Desire Eye is supposed to be a HTC’s full flagship handset equipped with a front-facing camera that’s just as good as the rear one. The handset reportedly uses the same 13MP sensor accompanied by the same dual LED flash on its both sides. Additionally, the Desire Eye will sport a dedicated shutter button on its left side, something that most mobile manufacturers, except Sony of course, seem to forget. In case you it skip your memory, the OPPO introduced a swiveling camera design when making the Oppo N1, which performs pretty much the same features, though with just one camera sensor.
If to believe the rumor, the HTC Desire Eye is definitely going to be one of the most extravagant smartphones targeting at the selfie-obsessed crowd. Since, majority of companies manufacturing phones equip their products with a 5MP shooters enhanced by adding some wide angle features. So, the alleged Desire Eye features appear to be too perfect to be real. Just think of a front facing shooter that has identical parameters that the one on the back, and we’re not only speaking of the sensor size but of all other features, including auto-focus and dual LED flash just as well. We will get two equally strong cams on the phones reverse and head side, doesn’t it sound so fantastic that almost unrealistic?
Going deeper, the rest of the Desire Eye specs look almost equally mouth-watering as its optics. The phone is said to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display and the Snapdragon 801 chipset housing a quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3GHz that is coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. All these will be powered by a removable 2,400 mAh battery. In addition the phones is reported to be labeled with the IPX7 water resistance certification tag.
In terms of design, we can observe the same HTC’s design language that was applied when creating the revealed last month at IFA Desire 820, with two color trims: red or blue and the front speakers located on the top and below the display.
Though the Desire Eye is scheduled to be unveiled during the HTC’s press event that takes place on October 8th in New York, unfortunately, as for now we can tell hardly nothing on the phone’s availability and pricing. Perhaps, it will be announced in partnership with one of the major US carriers.
