It took a long time for HTC to make the way for its Desire 610 over to the US shores. The phone was introduced in February at MWC in Barcelona and since April was available globally but the US market. However, it is about to change next week. AT&T just announced that is going to add the phone to its portfolio next week advertising the phone as a smartphone with ‘powerful performance’ and giving it a decent price tag. As soon as July 25th the brand new Desire 610 compatible with AT&T’s 4G LTE fast internet will be available for your grabs in carrier stores.

The HTC Desire 610 on AT&T network will be priced at $199.99 with no long term commitment on postpaid plans and GoPhone prepaid service. That’s pretty good price for the device considering the fact that the phone is offered in Europe for €300. In addition to affordable price the phone offers not bad set of specs and features, which include quad-band processor or front facing stereo speakers. Beside the full retail price, the phone will be available via AT&T’s Next 18 with monthly installments at $8.34 for the next 24 months or $10 with 20 monthly installments via AT&T’s Next 12 offer.
We wrote about the HTC Desire 610 back in February right after its announcement, but in case you need a reminder let us look at the specs of the device one more time. The phone comes equipped with a 4.7-inch screen with 540×960 pixels resolution and is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor boosted by 1 GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat and carries a 2,040mAh battery.
As of the connectivity options, the phone offers 4G LTE (Qualcomm MDM9x25 UE Category 4 LTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS, GNSS, and NFC.
Other features include 8 megapixel camera located in the back accompanied with 1.3 megapixel front snapper for selfies. All photos can be shared with the world via AT&T’s Zoe app which also gives opportunity to record movies, edit photos in easy way and make it into your own Zoe story with original soundtrack. All photos and content can be stored in phone’s memory (8GB available for user), which can be enlarged by microSD cards up to 64GB.
To sum up, it is quite clear that for many folks out there searching for a great value phone, a reasonably priced 4G LTE smartphone with mid-range specs will make the HTC Desire 610 an offering worth attention.
