HP unveils the Slate 21 AIO, all-in-one 21-inch Android tablet for desktop use

At an even in Beijing the company has just announced an all-in-one Android powered tablet that has a potential to satisfy the needs of even the most demanding users. The HP Slate 21 AIO is HP’s another step further into Android world. The device comes with specifics that clearly suggest that it is intended for desktop use. The tablet will be available in the US sometime in September. Prices should start at $399.

HP Slate 21The Slate 21 sports a huge (as the name reveals) 21.5-inch screen, which is 2 to 3 times bigger than your typical tablet. The IPS LCD display offers Full HD 1080p resolution and wide viewing angles. CNET Asia claims that the digitizer is provided by Wacom and could possibly work with a stylus, though we could not get any confirmation on this detail.

The device features a kickstand on the back that allows it to recline. The kickstand is certainly a handy is certainly a handy features, since the size of the table would make it rather uncomfortable to hold with one hand.

The Slate 21 is powered by Tegra 4 processor made by NVIDIA – rather unusual choice for an HP all-in-one PC. The tablet is compatible with wired keyboard and mouse for easier text entry.
