Good Deal: Get $50 Google Play credit with purchase of Nexus 6, Nexus 9 or Android Wear device

ByinSales & Special Offers | March 20, 2015

Google Store There is more than one way to celebrate an important event. Last week Google opened a new Google Store where you can buy Nexus phones and tablets, Chromebooks and a bunch of other Google-made devices. However, instead of throwing a big party, the company opted for a different way of sharing their happiness with customers. What’s that? You can get $50 Google Play credit with purchase of the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 or Android Wear device.

How to get the $50 Google Play credit.

Google Store Promo for Nexus Devices. The whole process of getting the $50 credit is quite simple and consists only a few steps. First you have to order the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 or Android Wear wearable from the new Google Store. As soon as the device leaves the store, a special promo code good for $50 in Google Play credit will be send to your email. The credit will work for apps, games, movies, shows, music or magazines from the Google Play Store but can’t be used towards the purchase of any gadgets from the new Google Store.

There are a few dates you should remember if you are interested in the deal. The promotion ends on March 31st, so you have a little less than two weeks to order new device eligible for bonus. Once you receive your promo code, you should add it to your account before April 20th or it will expire. The credit itself must be used before September 1st.

You may want to know that recently Google discounted the Sony SmartWatch 3 which now can be yours for $199.99 after a $50 price cut. The device is also eligible for the $50 in Google Play credit promotion making it a pretty tempting deal. Other Android Wear devices that come with the deal include Asus ZenWatch, Motorola Moto 360, LG G Watch R, LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live.

Objectively speaking, $50 is not exactly a fortune. If we were to apply such to a premium smartphone, the difference in pricing would be hardly noticeable. However, games, music, magazines etc, are usually pretty cheap, so those $50 could help you fill your new device with new content to the fullest.
