Get $100 OFF on Motorola DROID RAZR HD, DROID RAZR MAXX HD or DROID RAZR M thanks to Motorola trade-in program
During the latest Motorola’s Press event, the phones’ manufacturer announced they would update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean most of its devices launched in 2011 and that they planned to do this by the end of this year. Some, however, will be left with the current version of the operating system – Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or even the older Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
For those smartphone owners who won’t be lucky to get Jelly Bean, Motorola prepared a special offer – if you send in your old phone purchased in 2011 you can get $100 off the purchase of one of the three new models which were introduced lately: Motorola DROID RAZR HD, Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD or Motorola DROID RAZR M.

Not many details of the trade-in offer have been released as of today. What we know for sure is that first you will have to buy one of the new Motorola smartphones launched on Thursday, namely the Motorola DROID RAZR HD, the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD or the Motorola DROID RAZR M. Then you should send your old phone and you will get the $100 in the form of a gift card, carrier credit or other way not specified by Motorola so far.
You can check when and if your current Motorola model will be getting update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the company’s website. As soon as you fill in the form, you will also be emailed more information on the trade-in plan.
The owners of the smartphones that will get stuck with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 2.3 Gingerbread, may feel disappointed at first, but the trade-in offer is definitely a well-thought decision. It is a huge step towards the new updating trend and clearly shows that Motorola understand the importance of being up to date in the smartphone world.
