Galaxy S6 Active designed to withstand drops, dust and water is coming exclusively to AT&T this Friday
Last Friday AT&T shortly teased its customers with the Galaxy S6 Active, yesterday the rugged version of the Samsung’s recent flagship popped up in the net with a full video officially confirming its release coming soon. Scheduled to hit the market on June 12 as an exclusive AT&T offering, the Galaxy S6 is a phone designed to withstand drops, dust and water what makes it a great companion for all adventure-lovers.
AT&T debuts the new Galaxy S6 Active this week
This is a third time in a row when AT&T managed to gain exclusive rights to release the ruggedized version of the Samsung Galaxy S series. Being a perfect option for all those of you appreciating active lifestyle, the Galaxy S6 Active comes closed in a water and dust resistant body case labeled with an IP68 military certification tag. In practice it means that the phone can stand nearly anything you come on your way, including drops, dust, water, vibrations and extremely high temperatures.
The Galaxy S6 Active solid body is additionally dressed in a special military-like camouflage patters, which makes it look even tougher. Additionally, the handset is also equipped with the Activity Zone app that delivers a variety of shortcuts for outdoor functions, including compass, flashlight, weather and stopwatch. The app along with a dedicated action button located on the device’s left side should provide its users with a quick access to all these functions.

Dressed in Camo White, Camo Blue and Gray the phone will cost $199 on a two-year contract. Although if you prefer installment plans, the AT&T Next 24 plan offers the device for $23.17 per month for 30 months, whereas within Next 18 and Next 12 plans you will have to spend $28.96 for 24 months or $34.75 for 20 months, respectively.
