Undoubtedly, the star of recent weeks was the Samsung Galaxy S4, however, the Korean manufacturer has another ace up its sleeve. The Galaxy Note III has been anticipated for some time and is our sources are correct we may not have to wait long for official announcement. According to “a person close to the matter” the device will be introduced during Samsung Unpacked event in Berlin on September 4th. While this is not official information, it sounds plausible enough, especially since previous Galaxy Note phones were announced more or less at the same time of the year.
What we know about the Galaxy Note III
The Samsung Galaxy Note III is expected to sport a Super AMOLED and/or IPS LCD display. Possibly there will be several variants of the device featuring different types of screen and processor, depending on the market. The screen will grow in size compared to the Galaxy Note II, however, it is unclear how big it will actually be. Different reports put the screen at either 5.7 or 6 inches, with the latest one mentioning a 5.99-inch flexible display.
According to the rumors, the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU, or Samsung’s own 1.8 GHz octo-core Exynos 5 Octa CPU. Other speculated features include 2 GB RAM, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal memory with microSD support, and a 13-megapixel camera.
Like previous models, the Samsung Galaxy Note III will come with a stylus. Although some reports claim that the device might ship with the upcoming 4.3 version of Android, however, the 4.2.2 iteration sounds far more probable.
