Galaxy Note 7 is back

Remember the Galaxy Note 7? If you’re a big fan of this ill-fated phablet, you will be surely glad to hear that the device has just got a second chance. Recently, Samsung has shared a news that it will start to sell refurbished models. Dubbed Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition the handset is scheduled to return to its home market of South Korea on July 7th. This happens after the last year’s worldwide affair including explosive units that leaded to withdrawal from the global market.

Samsung announced the return of the Note 7. The refurbished device will be initially available in its home market 30% cheaper than on the day of its debut.

It’s still pretty much a mystery whether the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Fun Edition will be go on sale worldwide. So far the manufacturer only confirmed the info that 400,000 refurbished units will be available in its home market, South Korea.

The device is said to cost something round $611, which translates to a 30% markdown of the original pricing. To encourage consumers to buy the Note 7 Fun Edition, Samsung ensures that this time they equipped the phablet with a 3,200 mAh battery featuring smaller capacity than the previous model powered by a 3,500 mAh unit. Sold units will be withdrawn devices coupled with unused components.

Except for a new battery, each model of the Note 7 Fun Edition will undergo a new safety inspection processes testing the batteries. Consisting of eight steps the new security procedure is believed to help Samsung restore consumer trust. You can be assured that the company has taken every precaution possible while preparing the Note 7 Fun Edition for its debut.

Furthermore, to enhance the user’s experience and make it close to this offered by the Galaxy S8 Samsung equipped the Note 7 Fun Edition with several Bixby features including Bixby Home and Bixby Reminder. In addition, the phone also received some new packaging.

With the Galaxy Note 8’s premiere just around the corner, many speculations about pricing has started to surface the net. If to believe them, the next gen of the Note series may cost something around $900.
