The Pantech Marauder, which appeared in Verizon’s stores some time ago, was designed to be a budget phone, but with the features it offers it certainly stands out from this category. If the previous price was too much for you, now you may be more interested, since you can have the Pantech phone for a penny from Amazon Wireless and for free from Wirefly as long as you sign a new 2-year service agreement. The phone has some most useful tools like: alarm clock, calculator, calendar, vibration, voice memo, and voice-activated dialing.
What is quite unusual for the phone, it can work in two modes: Starter Mode and Standard Mode. The Starter Mode was introduced with the first-time smartphone users and those who are unfamiliar with the Android operating system in mind. In this mode, operating the phone is easy and intuitive. You won’t get lost, since there are only four home screens with preset widgets and quick dialer icon. The lock screen is better organized and much clearer.
Once you have mastered the Starter Mode, you can move on to the more advanced Standard Mode. Here you have up to seven home screens and all of them can be personalized, so you can make them look the way you like. The lock screen offers access to frequently used apps.
The Pantech Marauder maintains all the settings and allows switching between the modes without loosing any data or information.
