Aside of delivering new generations of devices Apple is also taking care of the quality of post guaranty repair services. No one wants to say it out loud, but even though the freshly released iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are really solid devices, their water resistant bodies are still prone to screen damages. Conscious of the problem Apple lowers the fee for a post guarantee screen repairs to just $29.
Apple introduced changes to its post guaranty repair program. From now on you can fix your iPhone’s damage screen for just $29 no matter which generation of the device you use.
So far the company charged different repair fees for various iPhone models. Latest gen devices’ repairs were charged $99, while older gen phones repairs cost $79. Putting an end to this disparities Apple announced one flat fee of $99 for all kinds of iPhones, and simultaneously noticeably lowered the price of screen repairs. From now on when your iPhone suffers a screen damage you can fix it via Apple Care Plus center for just $29, but if you broke something else then you will be asked to pay $99. The new pricing covers all models of iPhones independently on how old they are.
In practice it means that for instance an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus owners can extend the limited one year guaranty by another 12 months paying $129 plus tax. The one-time fee will cover two accidental damages, including accidental drops, screen damage and liquid damage. Although the post warranty service may still look quite expensive, note that signing up for it will save you a lot of hassle, time and nerves. All damages of your beloved iPhone will be fixed without questions asked, isn’t that great?
And even though the cost of the damage repair in the case of the iPhone SE or iPhone 6 or 6 Plus will now be $20 higher, the Apple’s new program still seems to be the cheapest screen damage rehabilitation service currently available on the market.
Another important change in Apple Care Plus policy is the fact that from now on the center will work 24/7. This means that you gain an unlimited access to Apple’s authorized technicians via chat or phone through getsupport.apple.com.
