In the last few weeks Google has been busing cleaning up its Play Store. As a result the HTC One, Galaxy S4, Xperia Z Ultra and LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition have disappeared from Google’s store but not from the market. In fact, the devices drew our attention when they showed up in quite attractive prices on Expansys. Expansys USA’s big sale of Google Play edition devices follows a couple of similar bargains offered by several distributors lately.
Major sale on Google Play Edition devices
For instance, last month an eBay seller asked $499 for the Galaxy S4 which was considered a great sale. Even before that, Expansys cut the price of the Xperia Z Ultra to which is a whooping $300 in savings. It appears that the retailer decided to take in the three remaining castaways as well and is now offering them for over $100 less than their original prices. In addition to the Xperia Z Ultra which still goes for $349.99, the LG G Pad 8.3 price dropped to $224.99 and the HTC One M7 and Galaxy S4 are both sold for $399.99.
What is so special about those devices, since they are obviously not the latest and greatest pieces of Android equipment available on the market? As Google Play Store advertises, each of them is well designed and they all still have quite impressive features, vanilla versions of Android and as up-to-date as can be. Without a doubt, any of the four devices can be a good deal for users looking for lower-priced unlocked premium phones with no contract.
In addition to them being Google Play Edition devices, all feature big screens and pretty high-end specs. The Galaxy S4 packs a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and Gorilla Glass 3, while the HTC One uses a 4.7-inch diagonal display and Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The biggest of the smartphones, the Xperia Z Ultra is equipped with a 6.4-inch Full HD screen made with technology similar to the Sony BRAVIA TV. Tablet LG G Pad 8.3 tablet boasts 8.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
As for camera experience, both Samsung and Sony handsets offer 2-megapixel front snappers, with the former graced with a 13-megapixel main camera and the former sporting an 8-megapixel shooter on the back. The One M7 boasts UltraPixel main camera and a 2.1-megapixel sensor on the front. The LG G Pad is equipped with 1.3-megapixel user-facing snapper and a 5-megapixel rear camera.
The Samsung’s phone is powered by a 2,600 mAh battery and the capacity of the Z Ultra unit is a hefty 3,000 mAh. A 2,300 mAh battery delivers power to the One M7, while the LG Pad runs on a 4,600 mAh battery.
The Z Ultra and the LG G Pad run on Android Kit Kat 4.4 operating system, while the two remaining smartphones work on older version of Android – Jelly Bean 4.2. In addition, all of the devices have support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Google Play edition devices come with latest updates of Android software which is a guarantee for an optimization for the newest apps, extended storage and multitasking.
To sum up, all of those devices are offered by Expansys with a generous discount. If you are looking for a well-designed, affordable smartphone or tablet, why don’t you get acquainted with this offer. Sounds quite tempting, doesn’t it?
