Battery life is one of the key aspects to consider while looking for a new phone. After all, the need to plug your phone into a socket every few hours can overshadow even the best featured device. Huawei seems to understand this perfectly. Only a few days ago, the company announced the Ascend Mate 2 packing a massive 4,000 mAh battery and now we hear about another smartphone with big battery and low price being on its way to stores in China. The Huawei B199 will priced at CNY 1,999, which is about $330, and will be available starting January 20th.
5.5-inch Huawei B199 Well Powered Phablet
The Ascend Mate 2 is absolute record holder as far as battery life is concerned, but compared to what other smartphones have to offer, B199’s 3,000 mAh battery fits well above average. Just like the Ascend Mate 2, the Huawei B199 can be used to charge other devices as long as you have a dedicated cable.
The B199 is a follow-up to the A199 and shares some specs and features with its predecessor. Huawei’s new offering sports a 5.5-inch display with 720p resolution, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The phone is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, unlike the A199 which ran on a Huawei K3V2 CPU. Other key features include 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage expandable via microSD slot, and dual-SIM support with CDMA/GSM dual stand-by.
