The first Lumia phone of 2016 failed to arrive on the day it was expected, but apparently there’s no reason to worry. The device will show up eventually, though we will have to wait a few more days for the official announcement. In the meantime, we can feast our eyes on new photos since the delayed Lumia 650 Windows 10 smartphone has been spotted again in leaked press images.
Microsoft’s Lumia 650 surfaced in press shots revealing classy design enhanced by metal frame
It’s actually not the first time that we see the Lumia 650. Earlier this week we were treated to what appeared to be an official press image of the device. New photos, however, are much more detailed and present the handset from every angle. The images, which surfaced on Winfuture Germany, confirm earlier rumors which suggested that the Lumia 650 would come with a metal frame. Indeed it does, and the premium material combined with elegant design and thin 7.27mm body make the phone look very stylish. Unlike most Lumia phones which boast brightly colored bodies, the 650 will arrive in classic black and white color options.
Just by looking at the Lumia 650, you might think that it’s a pretty high-end phone, but the list of specs, albeit not officially confirmed yet, makes it clear that it’s barely a mid-ranger. The Micorosoft Lumia 650 is rumored to sport a 5-inch AMOLED 720p display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 200 or Snapdragon 212 processor. Camera setup supposedly includes 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front shooters and we can also expect a 2,000 mAh battery and either 8GB or 16GB of built-in memory with microSD slot for storage expansion.
The phone will ship with Windows 10 out of the box and will offer LTE connectivity thought at this point it’s unclear which bands it will support. In the US the device will allegedly be offered by Cricket Wireless and users in France will get it through Orange, though most likely many more networks will carry the handset too.
The Lumia 650 was supposed to go official on February 1st but due to some unexpected software issues, the announcement of the phone was pushed back. A new date hasn’t been revealed yet but according to some reports, Microsoft should be ready to present the device to the world in mid-February.
