Boost Mobile makes bold move before holiday season – lowers its plans prices and doubles data allowance
With holiday season fast approaching, specials deals and promotions start popping up like mushrooms after a rain. Some service providers attempt to woe new customers by discounting the hottest smartphones or offering free phones, others focus rather on plans and data. Speaking of the latter, Boost Mobile for instance has come up with a clever deal to make its customers happy. The carrier just made bold move before holiday season and lowered its plans prices and doubled data allowance.
New Boost Mobile Data Plans
Since May this year Boost Mobile offers three Monthly Unlimited Select plans whose regular price is set at $40, $50 and $60, depending on how much data you opt for. As a part of its holiday promotion, the carrier reduced the prices by $5 meaning that now the plans cost $35, $45 and $55 per month. But wait, there is more. In addition to lowering the prices of the plans, Boost Mobile also doubled data allowance.
The cheapest plan now includes 1GB of high speed data instead of 500MB. The $45 plan was bumped from 2.5GB to 5GB of 3G/4G data, while customers who choose the $55 plan will get a whopping 10GB data allotment instead of 5GB. All plans also include unlimited talk and text as well as no annual contracts and no roaming charges.
Another good news is that the new Data Boost Plans are available on all phones and to new and existing subscribers. You should keep in mind that it is not a permanent change but limited time offer and new customers must activate the Data Boost Plan by January 5th 2015. The same date applies to existing customers – the only difference is that they can switch to the new plan in My Account.
With the new Data Boost Plans Boost Mobile proved that it’s capable of entering the lists with major carriers. The $35 plan is one of the most competitive offers currently available on the market. It’s always a good time to lower prices and add more data; however, it’s especially appreciated around holiday season when we use email, Skype and other electronic channels to communicate with our loved ones who are far away.
