BLU Vivo 8L unlocked phone featuring 20MP “Super Selfie” front camera is now ready to buy in the US for just $149
Hunting for an affordable Android smartphone with great front camera and decent specs? If so, we have a great news for you. Yesterday, BLU – the US phone maker known for delivering devices with extremely good money-to-value ratio– has announced a new smartphone called the Vivo 8L. Except for an incredibly low price tag and massive battery, the handset offers a 20MP “Super Selfie” camera.
BLU has just unveiled the Vivo 8L. Sold unlocked the phone surprises with an incredibly sharp selfie-oriented camera, generous battery and ultra-low price.
Releasing the BLU S1 – company’s very first smartphone designed to be compatible with Sprint’s CDMA network along with GSM service, was surely an important milestone in the BLU Products history. Even though, (except for CDMA compatibility, naturally) the S1 doesn’t offer any particularly impressive feature allowing it stand out of the crowd of other similarly priced smartphones.
However, acclaimed to be the market leader in unlocked devices in the States, BLU is back with another nice looking and surprisingly powerful Android-based phone offered for cheap.
Super Selfie Camera
A bit smaller and slower than its 5.5-inch BLU Vivo 8 predecessor powered by Helio 10, the new handset provides its potential users with an sharp 20MP “Super Selfie” front-facing camera. Alongside, a wide angle lens, LED flash and F/2.0 aperture, the selfie snapper sports “enhanced face beautification software” and “smart scene picture detection”.
Except for great selfie-oriented optics, the BLU Vivo 8L packs a 5.3-inch screen panel with Full HD resolution and comes powered by the MediaTek 6753 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. Furthermore, the device is kept alive by a 4,000 mAh battery, which looks really impressive when we take into consideration the size of the phone. By comparison, both the Galaxy S8 and the LG V30 hide noticeably smaller battery cells. The former packs a 3,500 mAh unit, whereas the latter is fed by a 3,300 mAh battery. As for primary camera it is represented by a 13MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Meanwhile, storage space is provided by 32GB of built-in storage, which when necessary can be easily expanded using micro SD cards. However, note that the device accepts only cards up to 64GB.
Don’t forget that the Vivo 8L arrives dressed in a metal body and offers advanced data security delivered by a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both features are still rare in this price sector.
Released yesterday and immediately added to Amazon list of offerings, the BLU Vivo 8L was initially sold for a discounted $150. Few hours later the promo expanded and the price increased to $199.99. Today, Amazon slashes its pricing one more time and sells the device $50 cheaper.
Perhaps running Android 7.0 Nougat the BLU’s latest offering isn’t close to standards set by recent flagships, but its specs are surely powerful enough to satisfy the needs of majority of average mobile users. Besides, its price tag is also something like four times lower than the one latest flagships are sold at. If you’ve already liked the simple though quite premium design of the Vivo 8L and fell in love with its optics, just hit Amazon and order the phone for as little as $149.99.
