Perhaps BLU isn’t such a recognizable mobile phone brand as giant Samsung or Apple, but the American smartphone manufacturer is gradually gaining ground offering their customers extremely affordable unlocked phones. Just a week ago we reported on the release of the BLU Studio 7.0, and right now the company adds three more handsets to their lineup called the Studio LTE Series. We’re talking about the BLU Studio 6.0 LTE, Studio 5.0 HD LTE and Studio Mini LTE, all available to buy unlocked and without contract.
BLU Studio 6.0 LTE
Starting from the biggest device of the new Series, the BLU Studio 6.0 LTE belongs to a phablet sector featuring a 6-inch screen with 1080p resolution. Running Android 4.4 Kitkat, phone houses a Snapdragon 400 chipset complete with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable built-in storage.
In terms of optics its future users will be provided with a 13-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel front facing shooter. Additionally, the phone is powered by a 3,200 mAh battery. All these makes the phone the most capable device of the discussed trio that comes in black and white for $279 without contract.
BLU Studio 5.0 HD LTE
Moving on to the BLU Studio 5.0 HD LTE, this handset is a bit less advanced in terms of specs than its bigger phablet-like brother. It features a 5-inch 720x1280p resolution display and the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset in this case housing a weaker 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be later expanded up to 64GB via microSD cards. But, it also comes equipped with the same camera parameters as the Studio 6.0 LTE and the same operating system, plus 2,200 mAh battery.
Summing up all the tech features of the Studio 5.0 HD LTE, we may easily see that the phone is almost a copy of the 2nd gen Moto G with the advantage of the support for LTE connectivity. The Studio 5.0 HD LTE is priced at $199 and available in two traditional color schemes which is black and white.
BLU Studio Mini LTE
Measuring 137.1 x 67.4 x 10 mm the BLU Studio Mini LTE is the smallest and the most budget-friendly phone of all three. Though when compared to the 5-inch Galaxy S4 which measures 136.6×69.8×7.9 mm, it’s hard to call it compact. The handset goes equipped with a 4.5-inch display with the 480×854 pixel resolution and Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz.
As it comes to the memory capacity, its users will get 1GB RAM and 4GB of native storage under the phone’s hood. There is also a 5-megapixel rear camera unit accompanied by a 0.3-megapixel front-facing one. Labeled with the price tag of $119 the phone will be available in six colors with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. However, equipping the device with such an old version of Android seems ridiculous especially when its latest Lollipop version update became available and currently quite popular. The phone cost just $109.99 off contract.
Speaking of the connectivity options, the Studio 6.0 and 5.0 inch models will go on sale only with the support for LTE on T-Mobile, whereas the Studio Mini will support all US GSM networks.
So if you’re looking for a nice affordable smartphone that is LTE-capable, the BLU Studio LTE Series appears to be a solid option with all three phones already available for order.
