BLU Life New Devices
BLU seems to be a mobile manufacturer that have always its hands full with work. Earlier this year the company expanded its lineup of SIM-lock free Android smartphones by the Vivo Air, Studio X and Energy Studio. Today, the Florida-based manufacturer launched two more phones, the BLU Life One 2015 Edition and BLU Life 8XL. Both handsets belong to budget-sector offerings featuring nice set of specs and affordable price tag.

BLU Life One 2015 Edition

BLU Life (2015)
Announced at Consumer Electronics Show in January, the BLU Life One 2015 now enters the market equipped with a package of decent mid-tier specs wrapped in a sleek body with aluminum finishing. The phone houses a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 401 chipset coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage.

Sporting a 13MP main camera additionally accompanied by a selfie-friendly 5MP front-facing shooter the phone surprises with pretty nice optics parameters. Frankly speaking, a 5MP front snapper still isn’t a standard feature for most low end smartphones currently available on the market which makes the Life One standing out of the crowd.

What’s even more interesting the Life One 2015 is a dual-SIM enabled handset that provides its potential users with 4G LTE Cat. 4. On the software side, the phone offers Android 4.4 out of box with an Android 5.0 Lollipop update scheduled to become available in July.

BLU Life 8XL
Boasting a 5.5-inch 720p IPS screen the BLU Life 8XL smartphone comes definitely as an offer for all those of you seeking for an affordable phablet. As the name suggest it runs an MT6592M chipset with an octa-core Cortex A& processor supported by 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage.

Sadly, the handset delivers weaker optics than the Life One, represented by a mediocre 8MP main camera and 2MP front shooter and lacks the Life One’s strongest point, the LTE connectivity. However, the phone still features a support for dual-SIM and is kept alive by a beefy 2,920 mAh battery.

The Life 8XL will be available in the a wide range of color options, including Black, White, Orange, Pink and Yellow. Just as in the case of the Life One, the phone OS (Android 4.4) will soon get the Lollipop update.

When it comes to pricing and availability, the BLU Life One is already available for pre-order priced at $149. But if you buy the phone until June 19 you will be granted with a special $50 discount. The same promo refers to the Life 8XL, whose regular price has been reduced to $79 from $129. The pre-orders on the handset kick off on June 22.
