The X2 Mini is a smaller sibling of the well-known One X2
Majority of us, phone users, are quite skeptical when it comes to Mini versions of smartphones, remember Galaxy S5 Mini or HTC One Mini? Stereotypically, we hear “Mini” and see a phone with poorer specs, smaller screen and a lower price tag. However, BLU takes attempt to change this state of things by releasing the BLU Life One X2 Mini which is smaller but simultaneously more powerful and hence more expensive than its bigger sibling.

BLU launches BLU Life One X2 Mini

BLU releases another interesting Android smartphone. The X2 Mini is a smaller sibling of the well-known One X2, but don’t judge the book by its cover as the more compact version is the one to offer more power.

To start from the larger Blu Life One X2, the phone is driven by a  Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage supporting microSD expansion. The device costs $150, but if you need a more powerful handset, there’s also a 4GB RAM version of the phone offering 64GB of storage that costs $50 more.

Moving on to the star of the day  – the freshly released BLU Life X2 Mini – the phone is available only in one variant sporting the Snapdragon 435 processor complete with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage with microSD expansion. Priced at $180 the handset appears to be a combination of two standard-size variants both in terms of price  and features.

When it comes to other specs, the X2 Mini houses a 5-inch display which is only 0.2-inch smaller than the one featured by the One X2. Furthermore, except for a quite decent viewing experience the phone provides its users with advanced data security thanks to an integrated fingerprint scanner. Meanwhile, a Sony-made IMX 13MP primary camera backed up by an 8MP front-facing snapper will surely deliver sharp and really bright photos.

Kept alive by a 2,300 mAh battery the phone packs all connectivity options you’d except form a modern smartphone and runs Android Marshmallow. Summing up, the only departments where the One X2 beats its Mini brother are battery capacity and screen size-factor.

Even though the X2 Mini is far from offering flagship like specs, it’s still a solid tool of communication and mobile entertainment. If you think that the phone is exactly what you’re looking for, right now for the next five hours you can score the phone for $130 instead of regular $150 within the Amazon’s special lightening promo, which translates to savings worth $50. You can choose among rose gold, gold and grey color options.
