Remember the new BlackBerry phone known as the R10 that we mentioned a while ago? First rumors, though did not list any significant details, clearly suggested that it would be a budget version of the Q10 model. Those of you who are familiar with the cell phone market know that it usually means some serious sacrifices. However, it may turn out that the R10 will arrive with much better hardware that it was initially expected. New leaked photos of the handset appeared on the web and this time they are accompanied by some specs.

The more we see of the BlackBerry R10, the more appealing it seems. Since the device was already spotted in stylish white, bright red and now it is shown in more traditional black, we know that it will be launched in several color options. The R10 was captured on camera next to the BlackBerry Q10 and evidently, it is slightly taller than its sibling.
The phone is believed to feature a 3.1-inch display with 720 x 720 resolution as well as 2 GB of RAM, both of which are identical as the Q10. Supposedly, the handset will also sport a 5-megapixel rear camera, 8 GB of internal storage, and a 1,800 mAh non-removable battery. Just like other two BlackBerry phones released recently, the R10 will also run BlackBerry 10.1 OS.
This is as much as we know, or we think we know, about the phone. Neither pricing, nor possible launch date or region were leaked. Obviously, the device is live and not just a dummy unit, so we should find out more soon. At this point, our best shot is next week’s BlackBerry Live conference.
