ByinTablets | July 17, 2014

LG GtabAlways competing with Samsung – LG – is now bringing its new smaller 7-inch version of its flagship Android tablet, the LG G Pad 7.0 to the US market. The device, which is already present on European markets since June, now will be available for grabs to US users thanks to AT&T, which will add the Pad to its offer, as an affordable mid-range offering. How do we know that? Well, our favorite tipster – @evleaks, the source of the rumor, has recently posted a new leak presenting press render of AT&T branded LG G Pad 7.0.

LG G Pad 7.0 LTE for AT&T – What do we know.

LG G PadThe leak doesn’t show an authentic photo of the device, but something which looks like a snap form the user manual. But the most important thing is that the pic give us a tip that the slate will be offered by AT&T. That allows us to expect that the LG G Pad 7.0 will house support for 4G LTE connectivity compatible with AT&T’s frequencies making it more internet friendly than standard version of the G Pad 7.0 with Wi-Fi only. No more details are known so far about the upcoming tablet, except for its alleged model number – 410V.

As it comes to other specs, on the basis of specification chart of the original LG G Pad we may assume that the alternative LG G Pad 7.0 LTE version along with its small 7-inch display is undoubtedly the smallest member of the new LG G tab family.

The slate operates on Android 4.4 KitKat platform and is equipped with 3-megapixel rear camera and additional 1.3-megapixel front one. Further specs embrace: Snapdragon 400 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB memory which can be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card. The device is also equipped with 4,000 mAh battery.

In terms of the price, the LG G Pad 7.0 won’t definitely set us back. Since in Europe the device costs no more than €200, which is an equivalent of $270, so AT&T shouldn’t charge more; otherwise, it will be a real rip off comparing to other mid-range tablets available in the US market.

Although the AT&T hasn’t revealed any official announcement concerning the date when the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE will go on sale, we may presume that we don’t have to wait long, since according to some rumors the rival carrier – Verizon have suggested that they will also add the tablet to their list of offered products. The race has just started, are you curious about which of the competing telecommunication carrier will manage to begin selling the device first? Be sure that whenever the new rumor on the AT&T’s G Pad 7.0 springs up on the net, we will keep you posted.
