Two carriers revealed today a handful set of details about pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S4. One of them is the leading GSM service provider in the US – AT&T, and the second is US Cellular. Both carriers announced that will open pre-orders on April 16th. AT&T will be selling the handset for $249 with a two-year contract. This price point places the Galaxy S4 right between the Galaxy Note II, which costs $299, and the iPhone 5 and Blackberry Z10, both priced at $199.
AT&T and US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S4
So far AT&T remains silent when the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be shipped so we are not sure when exactly you will be able to hold the device in your hands. Apart from what we already know, there is no word on particular or exclusive specs for AT&T’s version of the phone. For example, we cannot confirm which storage option the carrier will be carrying, but the pricing seems to suggest that would be 32 GB. AT&T advises to sign up for more information on its web site, so we assume that more details will come up any time soon.
On the same day, April 16th, US Cellular will also open pre-orders for the Galaxy S4, what will make it the first local carrier to announce pre-sale of Samsung’s flagship smartphone. The carrier did not reveal how much the handset will cost nor when it will be available for purchase, but launched sign up page on its website may suggest that would be soon.
