For the last year T-Mobile has been very busy trying to come up with new ways of attracting customers and is not done yet. In just a few days, the carrier will announce the next phase of its UnCarrier plan which, according to some reports, will allegedly cover early termination fees to switch to T-Mobile. Needless to day, T-Mobile’s aggressive attempts to score new customers were bound to provoke some a reaction from another carrier sooner or later. And sure they did.
New AT&T Offer – How to score $450
AT&T finally has had enough of T-Mobile always being a step ahead and make a pretty bold move this week. The carrier announced a new offer that will give up to $450 in credit to T-Mobile customers who switch to AT&T. The sum is actually made up of two separate credits. First, if you are a T-Mobile customer wanting to switch to AT&T, you can score up to $250 if you trade in your T-Mobile smartphone. The value of the credit will depend on the condition of your device.
However, this is not all. AT&T will offer another $200 for each line you are willing to move from T-Mobile to a new AT&T plan. Of course, there are a few conditions. In order to receive the $200 credit you will have to either sign up for an AT&T Next plan, the carrier’s installment-based early upgrade option, buy a device at full cost, or bring your own device and activate it with AT&T. It remains to be seen how effective AT&T’s offer will be, but there is no doubt that it will give T-Mobile customers something to think about, at least until T-Mobile makes its next big move.
