Announced earlier his month, AT&T new GoPhone plans are now available to customers. In addition to the updated basic / quick messaging plans the carrier has added two new plan options include data services for smartphone and feature phone users.
New GoPhone Smartphone Plans – Overview
The recently added plans are $40 and $60 options. The first includes 500 minutes, unlimited messaging and 200 MB of data. The latter offers unlimited minutes, unlimited messaging and 2 GB of data. The remaining two plans are: $25 option, which will get you 250 minutes and unlimited messaging, and $50 option, which includes unlimited minutes, unlimited messaging and Wi-Fi data only.
All plans are based on unlimited text, picture and video messages all sent within the US border. You can also message your friends and family in Mexico and Canada but it will be unlimited only for text. All plans also include voicemail, call forwarding, call waiting, caller ID, nationwide long distance and three-way calling.
AT&T also allows you to add more data to the amount included in each plan. If you are on the most affordable $25 per month plan you can add 50 MB of data for $5. Increments in the cheaper of the two new smartphone plans also cost $5, however you will get 100 MB of data. The $60 plan allows for 1 GB increments, in which case you will hale to pay $10. Data adding option does not include the $50 plan, since it relies on Wi-Fi connectivity only.
