In a little over a week from today, Samsung will hold an Unpacked event in Barcelona. Although the company hasn’t issued any official statements yet, there seems to be no doubt that during the event the latest member of the Galaxy S family will be introduced to the world. When it happens, millions of users around the planet will impatiently count days until the phones hit the stores, forgetting, at least temporarily, about last year’s flagships. However, if you are in the market for a Samsung phone right now and want to get a sweet bonus, you can take advantage of AT&T’s latest promotion. As a part of the carrier’s Clearance Sale, you can get the Galaxy S6 for free if you buy any Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphone.
AT&T throws in Galaxy S6 for free if you buy any Samsung Galaxy flagship
Of course, in order to get your free Galaxy S6, you need to meet a number of conditions. First of all, in order to be eligible for the offer, you should add to cart one of Samsung’s last year’s flagships, that is the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ or Galaxy Note 5. The phone must be purchased via AT&T Next 24 and activated on a plan priced at $70 per month or more on Mobile Share Value. Once you select your phone, you can add the Galaxy S6 32GB as a new line.
Great news is that you can actually choose a different device in place of the Galaxy S6, since what AT&T will give you is bill credit. You can get up to $595 in 30 monthly bill credits of up to $19.84 per month (which is the price of the Galaxy S6) and you can put that money toward any Galaxy flagship this way reducing its price significantly. The credits will start within 3 billing cycles but only if both phones are on the same account, active and in good standing for 30 days. You will get all credits if you remain on the plan for 30 months.
Like all similar deals, AT&T‘s promotion is limited-time offer which expires on March 31 in Puerto Rico. At the moment we are not sure whether this date also applies to other locations. Surprisingly, for some reason the offer is not available in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Miami-Dade.
Even with all the restrictions and conditions, it’s a pretty sweet deal for users who are in the market for a new Galaxy phone. Although the handsets that are a part of the promotion will soon be replaced by the 7th iteration of Samsung’s most popular lineup, they are still very capable devices and certainly worth considering, especially if you can get one for free.
